OUR STORY
Fransmanshuijs stands on a hilltop on the beautiful Fransmanskraal farm. The farm owners are the 6th generation of the Carinus family to call the farm home. With a history dating back to the 18th century, the roots of trees planted here run deep. The farm derives its name from the French Hugenots, who chose the farm as a place to raise their cattle.
A Farm-Living
Fransmanskraal is a working farm producing wine, citrus, plums and blueberries. Our guests enjoy an authentic farm-living experience.
Endless exploration
Explore the farm on foot, get lost in orchards and take in the scent of Renosterveld fynbos. Hop on your mountain bike and adventure on the local routes or take a swim in one of the farm dams – or book a horseback exploration of the neighbouring farm. Here you’ll have the space to roam free, away from the city bustle.
